The Buddhist Centre Lolland is situated close to woods and beaches and is surrounded by the typical countryside of Lolland: Fields of wheat and sugar beets as far as the eye can see. Because the land is entirely flat there is often a strong wind. Today the towering wind turbines in the horizon are a natural part of the landscape.

The place is ideal for meditation since there’s not much to do in the monotonous environment (other than perhaps going for a walk).

Approximately 170 km to the north you will find the Buddhist Centre of Copenhagen, which houses one of the most powerful Buddhist meditation rooms in Europe. Many foreign visitors, who stay at the Lolland Centre, typically take a day trip to the capital to see that particular meditation room (the Copenhagen lhakang).
